These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Seth’s RC online store.

Please read these terms before placing an order. By placing an order with Seth’s RC, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. About Us

Seth’s RC is a trading name of Richi Jenkin, Sole Trader, based in North Shropshire, United Kingdom.

We specialise in Team Associated, Schumacher and XRAY RC spares, together with other RC parts and related products available through our website.

2. Products

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, compatibility information and prices on our website are accurate.

Minor differences in colour, packaging or appearance may occur, particularly where manufacturers update products or packaging.

Product availability may change and some products may be available from supplier stock rather than physically held by Seth’s RC.

Where relevant, supplier-stock or on-demand availability will be indicated on the product page.

If you are unsure whether a part is suitable for your RC vehicle, please contact us before ordering.

3. Orders & Contract Formation

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

You will normally receive an automated order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract between you and Seth’s RC is formed when we accept your order and dispatch the goods.

All orders are subject to availability and successful payment.

We may decline or cancel an order where there is a reasonable reason to do so, including:

an obvious pricing or product information error;
an unexpected stock discrepancy;
an inability to obtain a supplier-stock product;
payment not being successfully authorised; or
reasonable concerns about fraudulent or unlawful activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled goods.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).

The price payable is the price shown when you place your order, subject to correction of obvious pricing errors.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown before you complete checkout.

We may change the prices of products on our website at any time. Changes will not affect orders for which a contract has already been formed.

If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting an order, we may contact you to give you the option of purchasing the product at the correct price or cancelling the order.

If the order is cancelled, any payment already made for the affected product will be refunded.

5. Payment

Payment must be successfully completed before goods are dispatched.

Payments are processed using the payment methods made available through our online checkout.

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers as necessary to complete your transaction.

Seth’s RC does not need access to your full payment card details in order to process your order.

6. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom.

Available delivery services, prices and estimated delivery times are displayed on our website or during checkout.

Our dispatch times and delivery information are explained in our Postage & Delivery Policy.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you.

If an order includes a product available from supplier stock, additional time may be required before the order can be dispatched.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them.

7. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you will normally have the right to change your mind and cancel an online purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, without having to give a reason.

If an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period normally runs from receipt of the last item.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly tell us that you wish to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.

You then have a further period in which to return the goods in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Certain goods may be excluded from the right to cancel where an exception under consumer law applies.

Your cancellation rights are separate from your rights where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

8. Returns

Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for information about returning an unwanted product.

Where you exercise your right to cancel because you have changed your mind, you should take reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession.

You may handle a product to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to how you would reasonably inspect it in a shop.

We may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from a refund where the value of returned goods has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Products supplied by Seth’s RC must meet the requirements of UK consumer law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose where applicable.

If you believe a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or you have received the wrong product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask you to provide information or photographs to help us understand the problem.

Your rights and the appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and how long you have had the product.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or other remedy provided by UK consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our Returns & Refunds Policy limits your statutory rights.

10. Product Compatibility

RC vehicles can have different models, generations, specifications and optional parts.

Customers should check the product description and compatibility information before ordering.

If you are unsure whether a product is compatible with your RC vehicle, please contact Seth’s RC before purchasing and we will help where we reasonably can.

Any compatibility advice we provide will be based on the information available to us and the vehicle/specification information you provide.

11. Installation and Use

RC components should be installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions where applicable.

Some RC components require appropriate tools, knowledge or adjustment to install correctly.

Damage resulting from incorrect installation, modification, accident, misuse, excessive wear or use outside the manufacturer's intended purpose is not necessarily evidence that a product was faulty when supplied.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where a product is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

12. Our Responsibility to You

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms & Conditions or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses caused by circumstances for which we are not legally responsible.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights relating to the goods we supply.

13. Business Use

Products purchased from Seth’s RC are primarily supplied to consumers for personal RC hobby and racing use.

If you purchase products wholly or mainly for business, commercial or resale purposes, some consumer rights referred to in these terms may not apply.

14. Retention of Title

Ownership of goods supplied by Seth’s RC passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery as described in these Terms & Conditions.

15. Intellectual Property

The Seth’s RC name, logo, original website content and other original Seth’s RC branding and materials may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission.

Third-party product names, trademarks, logos, product photographs and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

16. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to process or deliver an order.

Examples may include significant postal or carrier disruption, severe weather, natural disasters, failures affecting essential services or significant supply-chain disruption.

If this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the disruption and keep affected customers informed where appropriate.

Nothing in this section removes any rights you have under consumer law.

17. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who we may share it with and your data protection rights.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The terms that apply to your purchase will be those in effect when you place your order, except where a change is required by law.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict your right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable consumer law.
